Playing Opportunities for Warriors
Have you ever wondered, how can your Tournament give back to wounded veterans who are using the game of golf as a form of mental and physical rehabilitation?
More than 2.5 million Americans have served in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2003; of these, countless have
returned home with some form of injury. North Texas Warrior Golf Association (NTWGA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, was formed in early 2011 in an effort to bring the game of golf to our nations post 9/11
Since 2011, the North Texas Warriors Golf Association, a branch of the Salute to Military Golf Association that has brought the game of golf to thousands of warriors as well as outfitted more than 800 with custom set clubs! The game of golf embodies strength, flexibility, endurance, balance and mental discipline. NTWGA programs, clinics, and golf experiences build lasting friendships beyond the hospital and past the golf course. By addressing the unique needs of injured warriors returning home from service, we assist these hero's as they reintegrate back to active duty or civilian society.
The goal of NTWGA is to help break down the barriers of entry to the game of golf and to help our Warrior Golfers continue to play as often as possible with one another in their local community!
Would you consider donating or hosting as many wounded veterans in your Tournament as you can handle? Thank you very much for your consideration!
